Stars
and Stripes Officials Association
started on April 1, 2007. A need to train officials was lacking in
most basketball officials associations. SSOA was created to give
officials that opportunity, through the use of on court training,
and off the court instruction. Through the use of technology, SSOA
is on the cutting edge of training basketball officials to be the
best they can be. In 2008, SSOA held its first Officials Camp. The
camp was an enormous success. In 2009, it promises to be even
better. SSOA has worked some of the highest profile AAU
tournaments in Northern VA during the past two years. Its
clientele has included some of the best AAU organizations in the
Country, and the quality of officiating that has been provided to
its clients is second to none.
